Every bookworm needs a good book light. I have at least half a dozen in my junk drawer. I spend the majority of my reading time on my tablet, but I still like my physical books too, and that’s why I love a book light. Often book lights are not exactly illuminating, and it takes some maneuvering and manipulation to continue reading.
But I have found a new book light that is powerful and will light up the entire page evenly, the Reading Light by The Solar Book Light Company. Bonus it is rechargeable!!!! No more searching for batteries. The Reading Light comes with a USB cable and charger, but I usually let the power of the sun recharger – the kiddo think this is awesome and will recharge it on the window sill, and in Suburgatory, the sun is always shining. The powerful led light has 2 settings, high and low and the company claims 50,000 hours of continuous service life. It can easily handle a marathon read as it can work for over 12 hours between charges.
Speaking of kiddos, the Reading Light is sturdy. The steel neck keeps it in place, and the clip holds the book nicely. At 45 grams it is lightweight and easy to use. I love it and use it frequently. The only problem is that I only have one, so I think this will be a good gadget for my kids to encourage their reading.
